Scope

This OMRON CONNECT PRIVACY STATEMENT (“Statement”) applies to your use of:

This Statement sets out the basis on OMRON HEALTHCARE Co., Ltd, (“Omron” or “we”) will collect, process, use personal data which we collect from you or you provide to us in connection with the App and/or the Service. Please read carefully and agree to the following terms to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. However, if you are a minor according to applicable law in your country, you must not register yourself on and use the App and the Service.

Information we may collect from you

The App can be used as a stand-alone mobile application that only has local storage. If you reside in a certain country where we provide the Service, you can also choose to connect it to the Service by creating your personal account for the Service.

If you use the App as a stand-alone mobile application without using the Service, your Vital Data will be stored on your Device only. All the data stored by the App on your Device will be encrypted with up-to-date encryption techniques to assure that your personal data cannot be easily accessed and/or read by unauthorized third parties.

Regardless of whether you use the App with or without the Service, we collect and process the following personal data about you and your Device in accordance with your consent to this Statement. Please note that, although the provision of your personal data is not mandatory, you may not be able to fully use our App and/or Service in case you do not provide your personal data to us or do not consent to the terms herein.

In case you use the App without the Service, we may collect from you the following “Attribute Information”, “Registered Device Information”, “Support Information” and “User History Information”.

In case you choose to connect it to the Service, we may collect your “Vital Data” and “Account Information” (other than password) below additionally.

  1. Customer Information:
    • your date of birth, age, gender, height, body weight, and/or any other attribute information which are provided by you (“Attribute Information”);
    • your blood pressure, body weight and other measurement data measured by our healthcare device (“Vital Data”);
    • information about the healthcare device from which Vital Data is transmitted to the App and information entered in such device (“Registered Device Information”); and
    • your login ID, token for authenticating ID, e-mail address, password, and any other information relating to your account set by you to use the Service (“Account Information”);
  2. Support Information
    • your information you give us if you contact us for support or other purposes.
  3. User History Information:
    • your access history, operation history within the App, search history, IP address, dates, reference/exit pages and any other information about your use of the Service by using the identification information that is sent from the web server when a browser accesses the website, and sent from the browser to the server during future access (“Cookies”), and the URL information of the website accessed by you immediately prior, which information is sent by browser (“Referrer Information”) and/or other methods.
  4. Linked App and Service information:
    • Information about the customer transferred from the linked application and/or service to the system server of the App or the Service ,if you agree that the App and/or Service link with a third-party application and/or service (hereinafter referred to as the "Linked App / Service"). In addition, you separately agree to disclose and provide the Linked App / Service Information to us by the third-party, including the Linked App / Service provider or its affiliates, through the Linked App / Service.

      * If the Linked App / Service is "Google Fit", the Linked App and Service information is hereinafter referred to as "Google Fit Data".
      * If the Linked App / Service is "Google Health Connect (GHC) ", the Linked App and Service information is hereinafter referred to as "GHC Data ".

You acknowledge that we may obtain your information from third parties, including our service providers and their alliance partners, where such disclosure has been permitted by you through the privacy settings of such third parties.

This App requests permission to access your Device’s location to enable Bluetooth communication with your Device. We don’t collect or use the location data. By selecting “Allow all the time” in the location permission setting, the App can transfer data from your Device in your Device’s background even when the App is closed.

How we use your information

We use personal data held about you for the following purposes:

* We will only transmit GHC Data to third parties for the purpose of optimizing the user experience or functionality of the application. We will not use GHC Data for any other purpose, including transmitting it to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
* We will use and transfer Google Fit Data received from Google APIs to any other app in compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disclosure of your information to third parties

We may disclose personal data we collect from you to the third parties including our affiliated companies and vendors to operate the App and the Service for the following purposes:

We may disclose or provide Customer Information to third parties for our sales, marketing, development and/or research activities by de-personalizing it, such as statistical information obtained by processing Customer Information in a manner that will prevent specific individuals from being identified.

Transfer of your information outside your country

Your personal data may also be transferred to and used in countries outside your country, such as Japan and United States, for the purposes described in this Statement. Such countries may not have the same level of protection for your information as your country.

Security measures

We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, use and disclosure. All the personal data you provide to us is stored on secure servers. Any data transfer will be encrypted using Secured Sockets Layer technology.

Unfortunately, the transition of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Service; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal data, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access.

You have several rights with regards to our processing of your personal data, including:

Please note that we cannot meet your requests regarding your information which is anonymized and cannot be linked back to you (Anonymized Information), as it is impossible to specify which information is yours.

How to cancel your account

You may request to cancel your account or exercise the aforementioned rights to request the update, correction, deletion, or cessation of the collection, use, and processing of personal data by the following methods:

  1. by using the ‘cancel account’ function within the App;
  2. by contacting the support service by using the ‘contact us’ function within the App;
    or by sending an email with such request to newstarclub@newstarltd.com.hk
  3. When your account is cancelled, certain personal data will be deleted. As a result, all your remaining data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to you.

Period, Region, Recipients and Methods of the Use of Personal Information

Retention of your information

We will retain your information as long as you keep the App and/or your account for the Service. After you stop using it and cancel your account and/or uninstall the App, we may retain only your Anonymized Information.

範圍本 OMRON CONNECT 隱私權聲明 (下稱「聲明」) 適用範圍如下:

本聲明訂定基礎規範,以為OMRON HEALTHCARE Co., Ltd. (下稱「Omron」或「本公司」) 收集、處理、使用與本應用程式及/或服務相關的個人資料,該等資料由本公司向貴用戶取得或由貴用戶提供。請詳閱並同意以下條款,瞭解本公司對個人資料的觀點、做法以及將如何處理此類資料。根據貴用戶所在國家適用法律,若貴用戶未成年,則不得註冊及使用本應用程式和服務。

本公司得蒐集之個人資訊

本應用程式可做為獨立的行動應用程式使用,並僅提供本機儲存。若本公司於貴用戶的居住國提供本服務,貴用戶可建立個人帳戶,連結本應用程式與服務。

若貴用戶不使用本服務,將本應用程式做為獨立的行動應用程式使用,重要資料僅會儲存於個人裝置上。本應用程式在個人裝置上儲存的所有資料將使用最新的加密技術進行加密,確保未經授權的第三方無法輕易存取及/或讀取貴用戶的個人資料。

無論貴用戶使用本應用程式是否結合本服務,在貴用戶同意後,本公司將根據本聲明,蒐集和處理下列與貴用戶和個人裝置相關的資料。請注意,雖然本公司不強制提供個人資料,但若貴用戶未向本公司提供個人資料或不同意本條款,則可能無法使用本應用程式及/或服務的完整功能。

若貴用戶選擇使用本應用程式但不使用本服務,本公司得向貴用戶蒐集「個人資訊」、「註冊裝置資訊」、「支援資訊」和「使用者活動歷史記錄」。

若貴用戶連結本應用程式與服務,本公司可能會額外向貴用戶蒐集「重要資料」和「帳戶資訊」(不含密碼)。

  1. 客戶資料:
    • 貴用戶的出生日期、年齡、性別、身高、體重及/或其他個人資訊 (下稱「個人資訊」);
    • 貴用戶的血壓、體重和其他由本公司醫療保健裝置測得之資料 (下稱「重要資料」);
    • 用於傳送重要資料至本應用程式之醫療保健裝置資訊,以及於此等裝置輸入的資訊 (下稱「註冊裝置資訊」);及
    • 貴用戶的登入帳號、帳號驗證憑證、電子郵件地址、密碼以及貴用戶於本服務設定的帳戶相關資訊 (下稱「帳戶資訊」);
  2. 支援資訊
    • 貴用戶因需要支援或其他目的聯繫本公司時所提供之資訊。
  3. 使用者活動歷史記錄:
    • 透過個人識別資訊 (下稱「Cookies」) 取得之貴用戶的存取記錄、本應用程式操作記錄、搜尋記錄、IP 位址、日期、參考/退出頁面以及貴用戶使用本服務的其他資訊 (此等資訊在貴用戶使用瀏覽器存取網站時自網頁伺服器傳送,並在日後存取網站時自瀏覽器傳送至伺服器),以及透過瀏覽器及/或其他方式傳送之先前所存取網站的 URL 資訊 (下稱「請求來源資訊」)。
  4. 連結應用程式和服務資訊:
    • 如果您同意本應用程式和/或服務與第三方應用程式和/或服務(以下簡稱“連結應用程式/服務”)連結,則有關您的資訊會從連結應用程式和/或服務轉移到本應用程式或服務的系統伺服器。

      * 若連結應用程式/服務為“Google Health Connect (GHC)”,則在下文中簡稱“GHC 資料”。
      若連結應用程式/服務為“Google Fit”,則在下文中簡稱“Google Fit 資料”。

若貴用戶於第三方隱私設定同意個人資訊揭露,即表示貴用戶同意本公司得自第三方取得貴用戶資訊,包括本公司的服務供應商及其結盟合作夥伴。

本應用程式需取得存取貴用戶裝置位置的權限,以啟用裝置藍牙傳輸。本公司不蒐集或使用位置資料。在位置權限設定中選擇「一律允許」後,即使在關閉狀態下,本應用程式仍可在背景執行資料傳輸。

本公司如何使用貴用戶資訊

貴用戶的個人資料和上述其他資訊,本公司將用於下列目的:

* 我們只會將 GHC 資料傳輸給第三方用以優化應用程式的使用體驗或功能。我們不會將 GHC 資料用於任何其他目的,包括傳輸到廣告平台、資料仲介或資訊轉售商(我們將依照 Google Play 商店關於存取敏感資料的 API 政策處理 GHC 資料)。
此外,我們將按照 Google API 服務使用者資料政策(包括有限使用要求)使用從 Google API 收集到的 Google Fit 資料並將其傳輸到任何其他應用程式。

向第三方揭露貴用戶資訊

本公司可能會向第三方 (包括本公司關係企業和供應商) 揭露本公司向貴用戶蒐集的個人資料,以使用本應用程式和執行下列事項:

本公司得將貴用戶資訊去個人化,並揭露或提供予第三方,用於本公司銷售、行銷、開發及/或研究活動,例如以防止辨識個人身分的方式處理客戶資訊並取得統計資訊。

將貴用戶資訊移轉到國外

根據本聲明所述之目的,貴用戶個人資料可能會移轉至國外 (例如日本和美國) 使用。此等國家對個人資訊的保護程度可能與貴用戶所在國家不同。

安全措施

本公司已採取技術及組織措施,避免貴用戶個人資料遭未經授權存取、使用和揭露。貴用戶提供予本公司的所有個人資料皆儲存於安全的伺服器上。任何資料傳輸皆經安全資料傳輸層 (SSL) 加密。

然而,網際網路傳輸資訊仍無法完全保證安全。本公司將盡力保護貴用戶個人資料,但無法確保資訊傳輸到本服務絕對安全;貴用戶須自行承擔任何傳輸風險。本公司取得貴用戶個人資料後,將採取嚴格的程序和安全功能,防止未經授權存取資訊。

貴用戶的權利

對於本公司的個人資料處裡,貴用戶擁有下列權利:

請注意,針對匿名提供且無法連結至貴用戶帳戶的資訊 (下稱「匿名資訊」),因無法辨識資訊擁有者,本公司將無法處理相關要求。

如何刪除貴用戶的帳戶

貴用戶可以透過以下方式取消帳戶,或行使上開要求更新、更正、刪除或停止收集、使用、處理個人資料等等權利:

  1. 在應用程式中使用"刪除帳戶"功能;
  2. 在應用程式中使用"聯絡我們"功能聯繫客戶支援服務;
  3. 發送電子郵件至newstarclub@newstarltd.com.hk提出取消要求。
  4. 當您的帳戶被取消時,個人數據將被刪除。最終貴用戶所有剩餘數據將被匿名化,及後無法再與貴用戶聯繫

個人資料利用之期間、地區、對象及方式:

保留貴用戶資訊

只要貴用戶仍保有本應用程式及/或服務帳戶,本公司就會保留貴用戶資訊。一旦貴用戶停止使用並取消帳戶及/或解除安裝本應用程式,本公司僅會保留貴用戶的匿名資訊。
